JFK Library Will Open for Free to Visitors Wednesday in Honor of President George H.W. Bush

-The JFK Library Research Room will be Closed and Public Programs Rescheduled-

BOSTON, MA: On Wednesday, December 5, the museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will offer free admission to visitors in honor of President George H.W. Bush. Research rooms at the National Archives nationwide, including the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, will be closed and the Rodgers and Hammerstein Forum scheduled for 6:00pm on December 5 will be rescheduled due to the national day of mourning in honor of President Bush. Condolence books will be available for visitors to sign and leave reflections.

“On this national day of mourning, we invite the community to join us at the Kennedy Library in honor of President George H.W. Bush,” said Alan Price, director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. “Here, overlooking the sea loved by both Presidents Bush and Kennedy, and just a few miles from their birthplaces, we offer a space to gather and reflect upon the office of the presidency and our values as a democracy. Both Presidents began lives of public service as front-line heroes in World War II. As leaders of our country, both were faithful to its best aspirations. We look forward to welcoming people as they remember and honor President Bush’s lifetime of service to our country.”
