Description
Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate the violation of federal occupational safety and health laws by the Peabody Coal Company, which was charged with falsifying coal dust samples in order to pass air quality inspection. The Senators suggest reforms to prevent future violations by other coal companies. The episode aired on Friday, February 15, 1991, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
