Description
Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate the formal Congressional investigation into allegations that Ronald Reagan's 1980 presidential campaign staff negotiated with Iran to delay the release of U.S. hostages until after the election, in return for arms shipments to Iran. These alleged dealings are referred to as an "October surprise." The episode aired on Tuesday, March 24, 1992, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
