Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning President Kennedy's remarks to the Inter-American Press Association at the Americana Hotel in Miami Beach, Florida. In his speech the President explains the civic function of the media, and identifies four major goals of the Alliance for Progress: social justice, economic welfare, peaceful international relations, and political democracy and stability in the western hemisphere. Materials in this folder include note cards with handwritten notations by the President, a press copy of the speech, and a dinner menu.
