Folder Description
This folder contains handwritten notes and doodles by John F. Kennedy that were collected and transcribed by his secretary, Evelyn Lincoln. Materials consist of notes for a speech by Senator Kennedy at a meeting of the Lieutenant Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars); notes made during a Senate session; a draft of a speech with annotations by Kennedy at the annual banquet of the Massachusetts Real Estate Association; a draft of an introduction for Governor of Oklahoma J. Howard Edmondson during his 1958 Senate campaign; notes for Memorial Day speeches in Brookline and Dorchester, Massachusetts; and two sets of notes on the courage of the Irish for a speech at a dinner of the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
