Physical DescriptionRectangular cigar box decorated in repousse on lid with Mayan figures in a procession. The exterior front side of the box is engraved with an inscription to President Kennedy in Spanish as remembrance of the reunion of the 7 Presidents in San Jose 18-21 of March 1963.
Historical NoteThe 7 presidents (referred to in the inscription on the Humidor) in attendance at the Presidents' Conference in Costa Rica were John F. Kennedy, President of the United States; Francisco J. Orlich, President of Costa Rica; Miguel Ydigoras Fuentes, President of Guatemala; Julio A. Rivera, President of El Salvador; Ramon Villeda, President of Honduras; Luis Somoza, President of Nicaragua; Roberto F. Chiari, President of Panama. This cigar box was presented to President John F. Kennedy during the Presidents' Conference in Costa Rica on March 18, 1963 by the President of Guatemala, General Miguel Ydigoras Fuentes.

Custodial History NoteItem was a gift to President and Mrs. Kennedy from General Miguel Ydigoras Fuentes, President of Guatemala. It was donated to the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library by the Estate of President John F. Kennedy in 1965.
