Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks at the presentation of the 1962 Enrico Fermi Award to Dr. Edward Teller in the White House Rose Garden. In his speech President Kennedy proudly describes the United States as a haven for talented scientists, and discusses Dr. Teller’s contributions to thermonuclear research and the peaceful use of nuclear explosives.
