Description
Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s telephone remarks to Admiral James R. Reedy, former commanding officer of the VPB-110 Patrol Bomber Squadron. In his remarks the President discusses the history of the VPB-110 (the Squadron of which Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. was a member when he was killed in World War II), commends the veterans who served in the Squadron, and explains the need to honor the achievements of the past while looking to the future.
