Kennedy’s speech to representatives from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and memoranda from Special Assistant to the President Frederick G. Dutton and Special Assistant to the President for Civil Rights Harris Wofford concerning the integration of the National Guard, President Kennedy’s meetings with civil rights advocates, and anti-discrimination policies for the Peace Corps. Of note is a signed letter to the President from Martin Luther King, Jr.
