This folder contains copies of speeches by Senator John F. Kennedy given before the African Diplomatic Corps in Washington, D.C. and at Saint Anslem’s College in Manchester, New Hampshire. In the speeches Senator Kennedy discusses the independence of African nations; emphasizes the need for food, education, and development capital as essential for economic success; and proposes the creation of an African Educational Development Fund and a multi-national economic development fund for Africa. Also included in this folder is a statement by the Senator on violence in South Africa.
