Topics include communism, civil service employment, and requests for assistance. Of note is a carbon copy of President Kennedy's response to a letter from 8-year-old Michelle Rochon, of Marine City, Michigan, regarding her concerns that Santa Claus would be killed as a result of nuclear bomb testing conducted by the Soviet Union at the North Pole. In his letter, the President reassures the young girl of Santa's safety.
