Kennedy and members of his staff from various individuals of California, Connecticut, Illinois, and Indiana concerning the role of religion in the 1960 campaign, the prospect of a Catholic president, the distribution of anti-Catholic materials, and support for the Senator’s campaign. Also included are letters regarding Senator Kennedy’s decision not to speak at a memorial service for four interfaith chaplains who died during World War II.
