Kennedy, various members of the White House staff, and individual citizens concerning incidents of Soviet espionage, communist propaganda transmitted through the United States Postal Service, and the creation of a booklet entitled “Challenge to Americans,” describing how citizens can contribute to the country’s wellbeing. The folder also contains an article entitled “Is Communist Ideology Becoming Irrelevant?” by Chester Bowles, the President’s Special Representative for Asian, African, and Latin American Affairs.
