This folder contains memoranda to President John F. Kennedy and McGeorge Bundy, Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, from Robert W. Komer of the National Security Council. Topics include United States aid to NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization); MRBM’s (medium-range ballistic missiles); a U.S. Air Force tactical aircraft program; and meetings between President Kennedy and Dean Acheson, former Secretary of State and advisor to the President, on U.S. policy towards NATO.
