Getting to the Library

There are 14 accessible parking spaces in the parking lot.

The front door is 130 feet from the crosswalk next to the parking lot. Visitors are welcome to drop off out front of the building if anyone in their party has mobility issues.

Inside the Library

Manual wheelchairs are available at the Visitor Admission Desk on a first come, first served basis. Please return wheelchairs after your visit. The Museum also welcomes your personal walkers, wheelchairs, and scooters.

All events in the Museum are wheelchair accessible. Elevators may be found at the start and end of the exhibit galleries, along with power assisted doors.

Bathrooms on the lobby level have power assisted doors and are wheelchair accessible.

Braille map and brochure booklets are available at the Visitor Admission Desk on a first come, first served basis. Please return the booklets after your visit.

Video presentations in the Museum feature open captions. American Sign Language interpretation is available with advanced notice. Please email kennedy.groupvisits@nara.gov for more information. You may also call 617.514.1587 or use 711 for Telecommunications Relay Service.

The Museum has a Service Animal Policy, which permits animals specifically trained to perform tasks for persons with disabilities, access to public areas. Therapy animals are not considered service animals under the ADAAA 2008. Service animals must be under the control of their handlers at all times.

Seating is located throughout the Museum exhibits.
