Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks at the White House Columbus Day celebration held in the White House Flower Garden. In his speech President Kennedy discusses the numerous contributions to society made by Americans of Italian descent, and compares Columbus’s voyage to modern space exploration efforts.
