Description
Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate a test program from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), led by Secretary Jack Kemp, to sell existing public housing to current tenants. Senator Kennedy credits the idea to Secretary Kemp and Representative Walter E. Fauntroy of the District of Columbia. The episode aired on Tuesday, October 30, 1990, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
