Sound recording of the radio program "Face Off." Senator Edward M. "Ted" Kennedy of Massachusetts and Senator Alan K. "Al" Simpson of Wyoming debate President-elect Clinton's higher education reform plan, which includes offering government loans to students for college tuition and other costs. After graduation the students could pay back the loans by devoting two years to public service in their communities or by making payments according to their earnings. The episode aired on Thursday, January 7, 1993, on the Mutual Broadcasting System.
