This file contains copies and a draft of Senator John F. Kennedy’s speech titled, “America and Africa,” given at a luncheon honoring the African Diplomatic Corps in Washington, D.C. In his speech he discusses social and political revolutions occurring in Africa; a need for a multi-national program to provide aid to emerging African nations including economic, technologic, and education; and civil rights in the United States. Of note, the draft contains notations by the Senator.
