Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, and consists of messages of condolence on the loss of the submarine USS Thresher, sent through the Department of State, to President Kennedy from foreign dignitaries and Heads of State. Copies of official Department of State translations and replies on behalf of the President are also included. Of note are messages to and from Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru of India, President Francisco Franco of Spain, and President Ngo Dinh Diem of the Republic of Vietnam. This folder contains some foreign language material.
