Sound recording of a special Portuguese-language program prepared for Brazil by Voice of America (VOA) to commemorate the first anniversary (November 22, 1964) of President John F. Kennedy's death. The tribute contains excerpts from recordings of President Kennedy's speeches and other statements and a speech by President Lyndon B. Johnson (most recordings voiced over in Portuguese). Three Brazilian personalities are also heard: Brazilian Ambassador to the United States Juracy Magalhaes, Governor of Guanabara (Brazil) Carlos Lacerda, and Sociologist Gilberto Freyre.
