Kennedy's secretary, Evelyn Lincoln, concerning efforts by members of the American Association for the United Nations (AAUN) to secure President Kennedy as an advocate for their educational and humanitarian campaigns. Materials in this folder include a summary of the AAUN, a program for the organization's upcoming conference, memoranda amongst the President's advisors concerning the organization's upcoming events, and invitations President Kennedy to speak at the organization's events, including a letter from former First Lady and civil rights advocate Eleanor Roosevelt.

This folder contains memoranda regarding a visit to the White House by United States Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Adlai Stevenson; a meeting between McGeorge Bundy, Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, and delegates of the American Association for the United Nations (AAUN) to discuss high altitude testing and Southeast Asia; and a presentation by Ambassador Stevenson before the National Security Council to discuss U.S. policy towards the UN and the upcoming 17th session of the UN General Assembly. Also included in this folder are memoranda and an UN agenda item regarding the future of Ruanda-Urundi (later known as Rwanda and Burundi, respectively).
