A presenter speaks about the assassination of President Kennedy, the response of people and leaders around the world, President Kennedy's funeral, and his legacy. The program includes excerpts of Senator Mike Mansfield of Montana (Senate Majority Leader) eulogizing President Kennedy (including the refrain “and so she took a ring from her finger and placed it in his hands”), and remarks from former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, President of the United Nations General Assembly Carlos Sosa Rodriguez, and Secretary General of the United Nations (UN) U Thant. Also included are excerpts from news coverage of the funeral, a eulogy from Auxiliary Bishop of the Washington Archdiocese Philip M. Hannan, and excerpts from President Kennedy's speeches.
