This photograph album, compiled by Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy, documents various moments in the lives of the Kennedy family from 1933 to 1936. Photographs capture Rose and her family at their residences in Hyannis Port in Massachusetts, Bronxville in New York, and Palm Beach in Florida; at the beach at The Breakers Hotel and at the Sea Spray Club in Palm Beach; at the Ostrich-Alligator Farm & Zoo in Lantana, Palm Beach County; and at the West Beach Club on Cape Cod. Also of note are photographs of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter celebrations; birthday parties for Eunice Kennedy and Jean Kennedy; a Native American sun dance ceremony in Palm Beach; gymnastics exercises and boxing matches at the Sea Spray Club, in which Robert F. “Bobby/Bob” Kennedy and Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy participated; Jean dressed for her First Communion and Confirmation in Bronxville; Ted’s picnic on the lawn of the family’s home in Bronxville with a friend identified as “Rita”; a visit to a warship in Provincetown, Massachusetts; Jean dressed in a Scottish tartan and kilt; and other activities including swimming, sailing, sledding, horseback riding, football, and other sports. Other Kennedy family members and friends pictured in photographs include Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr.; Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr.; John F. “Jack” Kennedy; Rosemary Kennedy (referred to as “Rose” in original captions); Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy; Patricia “Pat” Kennedy; Rose’s parents, John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; Rose’s sister, Agnes Fitzgerald Gargan, and brother-in-law, Joseph F. Gargan, Sr.; Rose’s niece, Marion Eunice Fitzgerald, and nephew, John F. “Jack” Fitzgerald (the children of her brother, Thomas A. Fitzgerald); nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine “Kikoo” Conboy; governess to the Kennedy children, Alice Cahill; Edward E. Moore and Mary Moore; James Roosevelt, son of President Franklin D. Others identified in original captions include, “Francis,” “Tommy,” “Gilbert,” “Miss Hood,” “Jean’s godmother” (“Mrs. Greene”), and “Mary.” All leaves contain original handwritten captions in white ink, although the handwriting does not belong to Rose and the writer has not been determined. This photograph album contains 322 photographic prints, two photographic postcards, and one photograph fragment.

"Honey Fitz" Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; James Roosevelt, son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, and Betsey Cushing Roosevelt; Administrator of the Federal Emergency Relief Administration, Harry Hopkins, and Barbara Duncan Hopkins; journalist Arthur Krock; Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Boston, Francis Spellman; friend, Edward E. Moore; friend, Kirk LeMoyne "Lem" Billings; radio commentator, Boake Carter, and Beatrice Olive Richter Carter; Apostolic Delegate of the Vatican to the United States, Amleto Giovanni Cicognani; British playwright, Frederick Lonsdale; and Joseph P. The gold stamped title on the cover reads, “Photographs.” Those pictured include Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., and Rose; their children, Joseph P. “Joe” Kennedy, Jr., John F. “Jack” Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Kathleen, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia “Pat” Kennedy, Robert F. “Bob” Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward M. “Ted” Kennedy; Rose’s parents, John F. “Honey Fitz” Fitzgerald and Mary Josephine Hannon Fitzgerald; her sister, Agnes Fitzgerald; nanny to the Kennedy children, Katherine “Kikoo” Conboy; governess to the Kennedy children, Alice Cahill; family friends and associates, including Edward E. “Eddie” Moore and Mary Moore, Betsey Cushing Roosevelt, and former Governor of New York, Alfred E. Of note are photographs of an unidentified nurse holding Ted at Saint Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester, Massachusetts, five days after his birth; a visit to the Ostrich-Alligator Farm & Zoo in Lantana, Palm Beach County, Florida; views of the Kennedy family home in Palm Beach; boxing matches at the Sea Spray Club in Palm Beach, in which Bob and Ted participated; Eunice and Eddie Moore fishing in Palm Beach; Joe, Jr., dressed in drag with classmates at Harvard University; and family members and friends participating in both warm-weather and cold-weather outdoor activities. Many leaves contain original handwritten captions in white ink, in two different hands, although the handwriting does not belong to Rose or Kathleen, and the writers have not been determined. This photograph album contains 93 photographic prints and two photograph fragments.
