For a limited time, patrons who present an admission ticket stub from the Museum at the Kennedy Presidential Library at either the Omni Parker House or the Union Oyster House will receive a complimentary item with their meal.

BOSTON – Caroline Kennedy, President of the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and Tom Putnam, Director of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, today officiated at a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the completion and opening of the new 30,000 square foot wing of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. The ceremony took place in the addition’s new classroom and was attended by a group of fourth and fifth grade students from the Winship School, a Boston Public School in Brighton. Earlier in the day, the students participated in a program on the history of the Civil Rights Movement, which was the first of the Kennedy Library educational offerings to be held in the new classroom. Dr. Carol R. Johnson, Superintendent of the Boston Public Schools, was also present for the announcement.

Boston, MA – Today the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum announced plans to launch a volunteer museum docent program . When the program launches this spring, visitors will be met by docents who will help guide them through the Museum’s 25 multimedia exhibits and period settings. Docents will lead Museum tours, give gallery talks and present hands-on activities to children, adults and school groups.
The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum has announced that the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will close at noon on Monday, June 2, 2008 due to internal programming. All research facilities will remain open for normal operating hours on June 2. The last paid admission to the Museum will be admitted at 11:00 a.m.
Boston MA - In honor of America’s independence, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will feature a historic recording of Senator John F. Kennedy reading the Declaration of Independence. The 10-minute recording was made in 1957 for New York radio station WQXR’s July 4th observance. The recording was donated to the John F. Kennedy Library in January 1964. For forty years it remained unheralded in the Library's audio visual collection of 10,000 hours of sound recordings, eight million feet of film and videotape, and 400,000 still photographs. This special recording was re-discovered by Library staff just last year. Those wishing to hear this extraordinary recording will be able to do so by visiting the museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library between July 2nd and July 4th, 2005.
BOSTON — To help celebrate the Boston Red Sox, the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library has placed on special, temporary display baseball memorabilia from the Kennedy administration, including news footage of President Kennedy throwing out the first ball on opening days of the 1961 and 1962 baseball seasons. The ball the President threw out is on display on his desk in the Museum’s Oval Office exhibit. President Kennedy autographed the ball to commemorate the occasion. Also on display are the three annual passes given to the President by the American League Professional Baseball Clubs.

Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum will mark the inauguration of President Barack Obama, by offering free viewing of inaugural events (from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.), including President Obama’s inaugural address, in the Museum’s theater. In addition, all guests will receive a free commemorative copy of President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, admission to the Museum at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library will be waived for Veterans all day on Thursday, November 11.
